How long could you live on a billboard over a busy highway? Three men set out to answer that question in 1982 as part of an AM radio contest in Allentown, PA. This was during a recession-stricken time of high unemployment and 18% mortgage rates. What was expected to be a small town stunt quickly morphed into an international phenomenon, largely in part to Billy Joel's release of "Allentown".
