Itch / by Polly Farquhar.
After a tornado tears the roof off the school cafeteria, Isaac's sixth grade year is off to a rough start - particularly because he can't do fractions, and his mother has left for a two-month trip to China. Plus, Isaac is still getting used to living in rural Ohio, where everyone goes crazy for college football and the kids at school call him Itch because he has idiopathic angioedema. That's a thing that makes him want to scratch all over and that he doesn't even know how to control. At least he has his job at the pheasant farm, and the guys at school and Sydney to hang out with when he's not working. But when trading school lunches goes wrong and Sydney gets rushed away in an ambulance, Isaac knows it's his fault. When you suddenly don't have any friends, would you do anything - even things that are wrong - to get them back?
